Creating or updating a Input Type uses the same form.
You can simply create a new Input Type by selecting 'Create Input Type' from the left hand navigation. To edit any details go to the Asset and click the Update button that will appear in the top right hand corner.

Give your Location a name. Keep it unique so it will be easily recognisable in future to yourself and your wider team.
A description should include any key information about the Input Type such as use, management and condition. Try to include information that will make it easier for others to understand the Input's purpose.
Select the type of data your Input is expecting to receive. This helps us categorise it and display the correct format for you on your dashboards. More information on each type is below.
HEX is a way to receive colour information as a hexadecimal value.
